Handy plate Salmonella Confirmation Reaction Plate is a ready-to-use product for use with the Salmonella Test Plate. It contains a specific color indicator and a pH buffer. This product is used to confirm suspected Salmonella colonies on the Salmonella Test Plate.
Instructions for use 1) Place the Salmonella test sheet containing suspected Salmonella colonies that has been cultured for 24 hours in a clean bench or other sterile environment, and circle at least 5 suspected Salmonella colonies on the plastic film with a very fine black marker (if any). 2) Take out the Salmonella confirmation reaction sheet from the package with gloved hands, cut the seal, gently take out the confirmation sheet with sterilized tweezers, peel off the plastic film of the test sheet, and use tweezers to cover the confirmation sheet with the smooth side facing up and the rough side facing down on the test sheet gel, cover the test sheet plastic film back, and gently slide and press the plastic film with your hands to remove the air between the confirmation sheet and the gel. 3) Place the test sheet covered with the confirmation sheet face up in the incubator, stack up to 20 sheets, and incubate at 37±1 for 4~5 hours. 4) Interpretation: If the suspected Salmonella colonies change from red or reddish brown to green-green-black colonies, it means that the suspected Salmonella is Salmonella positive. If the colony color does not change, and the surrounding yellow halo turns red or remains yellow, it is Salmonella negative. Miscellaneous bacteria that were originally negative still appear green after the confirmation slide culture
