Handy plate® Staphylococcus aureus confirmation reaction piece is matched with Staphylococcus aureus test piece reaction (item number: HP007) to confirm the suspected bacteria. This product contains the specific color developing substrate and enzyme required for confirmation. After covering it on the test piece for reaction, if the suspected bacteria is Staphylococcus aureus, the original magenta colonies on the test piece will turn into blue-purple colonies, achieving the purpose of confirmation.
How to use 1)In a clean environment, tear open the aluminum foil bag of the product packaging, take out an independently packaged Staphylococcus aureus confirmation reaction sheet, and let it stand at room temperature for a while. Tear open the independent packaging paper according to the indicated part, and carefully remove the confirmation reaction sheet from the edge with sterilized tweezers. 2) Gently lift the upper film containing the Staphylococcus aureus test sheet to be confirmed, completely cover the confirmation reaction sheet in the rubber ring of the test sheet, cover the upper film, and press the top with your hands or the pressure cover to make it fully contact and flatten to avoid bubbles. Note: If the pressure is too high, the culture medium gel or edge colony in the rubber ring of the test sheet may be squeezed out; if the pressure is too low, the confirmation reaction sheet will not be flattened well, thus affecting the reaction effect. 3) Stack the test sheets with the confirmation sheet facing up (no more than 20 sheets), and incubate at 36±1 for 4h~6h. Note: To prevent the film on the test sheet from not fitting with the confirmation sheet and warping, it is recommended to place a light-weight cover on the top of the stacked test sheets during culture. Unused confirmation reaction sheets should be placed in an aluminum foil bag and sealed, and stored at 2-8°C away from light. 4) Interpretation: After about 4-6 hours of culture, the color of the positive colonies covering the reaction confirmation sheet will usually change. As the culture time increases, the color change becomes more obvious. If the marked magenta colonies turn into blue-purple colonies, it can be confirmed as Staphylococcus aureus. If there is no obvious color change, it is determined to be other Staphylococci.
