Principle

Based on the national standard EDTA titration method(also known as "ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid titration").EDTA (ie, ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid) is a strong complexing agent that can form stable complexes with many metal ions. The method can measure about 70 elements directly or indirectly. Most commonly used to determine calcium and magnesium.
