Principle:

Peptone and yeast extract powder provide nitrogen sources, vitamins, amino acids, and carbon sources.Sucrose serves as a fermentable carbohydrate.Bacteriostatic agents inhibit most non-Vibrio bacteria.Sodium chloride maintains osmotic balance.Agar acts as the solidifying agent.Chromogenic mixture reacts specifically with enzymes produced by Vibrio parahaemolyticus, Vibrio cholerae, and Vibrio vulnificus, hydrolyzing substrates to release chromogens. On a pale yellow background:Vibrio parahaemolyticus: Magenta colonies.Vibrio cholerae and Vibrio vulnificus: Green-blue colonies.

How to use
Weigh out 71.3g of this medium, add it to 1000 mL of distilled or deionized water, stir, heat, and bring to a boil until completely dissolved. Once cooled to approximately 50, pour into sterile Petri dishes under aseptic conditions. Allow the medium to solidify before use.
